Dr. Dana Kornfeld
Dr. Dana Kornfeld graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Amherst College and received her M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her pediatric residency at The Children’s National Medical Center and was selected to be Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Dr. Kornfeld continued her training at Children’s with a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine followed by a year on the faculty serving as an inpatient physician. She joined our practice in 1996.
Dr.Kornfeld is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington School of Medicine. She is past president of the Montgomery County Pediatric Society. Since 2018, she has served on the Board of Resilience Across Borders, a non-profit dedicated to increasing access to mental health interventions for children. Dr. Kornfeld is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and the specialty of Adolescent Medicine. She has been recognized on the Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Doctors” for over 20 years.
